Summary
No more guessing which of your favorite freelancers are availabile, what their current rate is, whether they've moved, or what new skills they've gained since you last touched base... wait when was that again? Avails makes it easier for companies to collaborate internally and with their freelancers to expidite booking and cut time to fill.
Problem
Companies have freelance rosters stored in one sided application tracking systems designed for full time hires, spreadsheets, inboxes or worse...
Solution
Avails creates a place where companies and their freelancers can colaborte to keep their details up to date, including live availability - making booking as fast as booking a conference room (if one's available..).
Role
Sole product designer of web app. Established UX, UI, and brand identity. Built hi-fidelity interative protoype. Collaborated with engineering from feasability through development of the MVP. Note: Landing pages built using existing service.

Early Stages
From initial idea, I explored possible solutions seeing a gap in the market. As a freelancer I had seen the frustration first hand from working with a handfull of companies. I met with resource managers (primary user persona) and conducted product interviews, several insights led to pivots of varisous sizes. An early alpha protoype was explored in no-code platform bubble, but wasn't complex enough without significant custom coding to be a functional solution. From there a hi-fidelity interactive protype was built.

The Build
Working with enginerring, a techinical specifications document was produced. A shift to using a similar react library to expidite development was made, and designs were amended. The scope of the MVP was decided based on budget and timeline. The build was completed overseas asyncronysly over several months with daily stand-ups.
